Service Manager (BAS Controls) – Dallas, TX – $100K–$165K + Bonus – Data Center & Building Automation

About the Opportunity:

A well-established Data Center and Building Automation contractor is seeking an experienced Service Manager (BAS Controls) in Dallas, TX. This position oversees the BAS service department, supporting mission-critical, commercial, and institutional clients. Position Details:

  • Compensation: $100K–$165K (DOE) + ~20% Bonus

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the BAS field service team.
  • Partner with clients and project managers to ensure timely service resolutions.
  • Schedule and deploy technicians to support workload demands and team expertise.
  • Maintain dispatch logs, monitor service activity, and generate internal reporting.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex service issues.
  • Recruit, develop, and mentor technicians to support department growth.
  • Implement and refine SOPs to improve service efficiency and consistency.
  • Support BAS system startup, commissioning, and functional testing.
  • Troubleshoot BAS devices, field controllers, and network-level communication issues.
  • Update system programming, modify wire sheet logic, and document changes.
  • Validate sequences of operation and maintain commissioning documentation.
  • Provide training to end users on BAS functionality, maintenance, and system best practices.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience managing BAS or HVAC technical service operations.
  • Strong background in BAS programming, integration, and diagnostic procedures.
  • Leadership skills with the ability to build, mentor, and retain service teams.
  • Professional communication skills and strong customer relationship abilities.
  • Experience supporting mission-critical or data center environments is advantageous.
