Position Overview The Service Engineer is responsible for troubleshooting, managing, and scheduling in-house and field service activities on a wide variety of custom machinery. This position requires both technical expertise and strong organizational skills.
This is an in-office position with travel. Candidates must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and possess a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
Create and manage service tickets, including scheduling, resource allocation, and customer communication Provide technical support and troubleshooting for electrically controlled hydraulic machinery Perform hands-on testing and troubleshooting of systems including:
Variable frequency drives Motor protection panels Electrical control systems
Collaborate closely with the Calibration Department Assist calibration technicians with testing and troubleshooting activities Support production team as needed Manage service contracts and direct support services Assist with training initiatives Perform additional duties as business needs require
Qualifications
Engineering degree or equivalent Electrical Engineering experience preferred Minimum of 5 years related experience as a Service Engineer or similar role PLC programming experience is a plus Strong familiarity with hydraulic and electrical control systems Experience with panel testing and validation Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Strong mechanical aptitude Ability to lift 50 lbs without assistance Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.) Excellent verbal and written communication skills
