Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Actively listen to customers and create descriptions of any problems or services that may be needed.
  • Prepare service orders.
  • Engage in upsells and promotions for additional equipment and services.
  • Obtain customer authorizations and signatures.
  • Present repair orders to the Foreman for dispatch.
  • Prepare and present customers with quotes.
  • Communicate with customers and the foreman as needed.
  • Work with the Foreman to ensure all repairs are completed.
  • Prepare invoice repair orders.
  • Contact customers for pick up or delivery.
  • Ensure that a secured payments are made prior to releasing serviced vehicles.
  • Update Uptime Pro (Freightliner Elite Support Locations).
  • Answer service calls.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Work Environment & Physical Abilities:

  • Activities require a full range of motion including; handling and lifting, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination.
  • This position may require standing, balancing, bending or stooping for prolonged periods of time.
  • This position requires corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
  • This position requires the occasional ability to lift and carry items weighing up to 80 lbs.
  • Required to perform work inside and outside, in varying weather situations.
  • Must be able to operate simple, complex and heavy-duty machinery.

Required Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver's license and MVR in good standing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Education, Experience, Knowledge & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar role.
  • Knowledge of diesel engines, gas engines, drive train and suspension.
  • Heavy and medium duty truck industry experience.

Job Details:

  • Type: Hourly
  • Compensation Range: $18.00 to $30.00 an Hour
  • Bonus Eligible
  • Reports To: Service Manager
  • Shift: Monday - Friday (2:30 P.M. to 11:00 P.M.), Saturday Rotation
  • Closing Date: Open Until Filled
