Responsibilities include the following: (Other duties may be assigned) - Greeting the customers and attentively understanding the issues a customer is facing with their RV and providing them with proper answers
- Explaining the customer issues in a detailed manner to the concerned mechanic
- Meet monthly sales targets by selling labor, parts, and services to customers
- Informing customers about potential cost savings and warranty protections
- Overseeing and managing the service departments scheduling and workflow
- Informing customers of changes in service or when their vehicle is ready to be picked up
- Properly assessing the RV unit and suggesting repairs and or services
- Helping the customer understand the cost implications of repair
- Writing external service repair orders
- Creating estimates
- Maintaining and creating work orders
- Undertaking responsibility for writing warranty repair orders
- Closing out completed work orders
- Following up on repair work
- Following up with customers in a polite and timely manner
- Act as a point of contact for shop foreman and the technicians to ensure repairs are approved
- Code claims to make sure technicians and service advisors are correctly compensated
- Ensure technicians clock in to work orders and bill the correct time for work
- Other duties as assigned
Required Skills/Abilities: - Valid Driver’s License, satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report with an insurable driving record
- Ability to drive sales
- Ability to drive, move and park recreational vehicles of all sizes
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Required Education and Experience: - High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience at an RV or automotive dealership environment a plus
- Desire to further education with RVDA provided by Byerly RV
