Summary of duties include greeting customers and initiating the write up process, determining the customer's needs and conveying this information onto the repair order, providing supporting documents to determine warranty coverage and open campaigns, documenting requests by the customer, acquiring customer approvals, providing estimates, booking and closing all service tickets considered as waiters, assisting with closing other repair orders as needed, answering incoming service phone calls, and maintaining product knowledge as the liaison between the service department and the customer.
Special requirements include having good communication skills and the ability to interact well with customers, vendors and co-workers in a positive and constructive manner. This is a safety-sensitive position for which impairment while on the job would present a substantial risk. As a condition of employment, the applicant must submit to pre-employment testing for marijuana. The position is exempt from the state law prohibiting preemployment testing for cannabis use.
Physical requirements include being able to pass a physical, including drug test, maintaining a professional appearance, climbing around, on and under trucks in order to properly inspect and diagnose all types of problems and repairs, and being able to lift 50 pounds to the waist and 25 pounds to the shoulder.
