As a Server, you'll be the face of Midway Diner, providing attentive, knowledgeable, and genuine service from the moment guests arrive until they leave. You'll help create an atmosphere where every guest feels welcome and every visit is one they'll want to repeat.
What You'll Do
- Welcome guests with genuine hospitality and create a positive first impression.
- Guide guests through the menu by answering questions and making recommendations.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders while anticipating guests' needs.
- Deliver food and beverages promptly while maintaining quality and presentation standards.
- Check in with guests throughout their dining experience to ensure satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen, bar, hosts, and management to provide seamless service.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked section throughout your shift.
- Complete opening, closing, and side work responsibilities.
- Assist teammates by running food, clearing and resetting tables, and supporting the team wherever needed.
- Handle guest concerns professionally and involve management when appropriate.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and service standards.
Who We're Looking For
- A passion for hospitality and creating exceptional guest experiences.
- Previous serving experience is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and support the team.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic cash-handling and POS system experience is a plus.
- Flexible availability, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and possibly holidays.
- Ability to stand, squat, reach, and walk for extended periods and frequently lift and carry trays, bus tubs, plates, and other items weighing up to 30 pounds.
