Position Summary

Brookdale Rosehill is an assisted living and skilled nursing community in Shawnee, Kansas. We provide compassionate, resident-centered, round-the-clock care to seniors in an assisted living and memory care environment. The Server is responsible for providing exceptional dining service to residents in a warm, welcoming, and respectful manner. This position assists with meal preparation, table service, dining room setup, and cleanup while ensuring residents receive prompt, courteous service. The Server contributes to an outstanding resident experience by building positive relationships and upholding Brookdale's standards of hospitality and customer service. This position reports to the Director of Dining Services. Full Time, 40 hours a week / Part Time, 20-25 hours a week available (Open Monday-Sunday, 7am-5pm.

Position Responsibilities (Include, but not limited to)

  • Prepare the dining room for meal service, including table setup and stocking service areas

  • Serve meals, beverages, and desserts to residents in a timely and courteous manner

  • Clear and reset tables during and after meal service

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in dining and service areas

  • Assist with meal service preparation and closing duties

  • Follow all food safety, sanitation, and infection control procedures

  • Foster positive relationships with residents and team members

  • Ensure resident satisfaction by responding promptly to requests and concerns

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be 16 years old
  • Previous customer service, hospitality, or food service experience preferred, but not required

Compensation and Benefits

Starting pay: $15.00 per hour (Base pay in range will be determined by applicant's skills and experience)
