Title: Senior Windows Administrator

Location: New York City, Hybrid, approximately 2 to 3 days onsite per week

Employment: Full-time

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are hiring a Senior Windows Administrator to support and improve a large-scale enterprise Microsoft environment in New York City. This role is ideal for someone who brings strong hands-on Windows infrastructure experience and can balance day-to-day operational ownership with automation, platform improvement, and infrastructure projects.

This person will help maintain a secure, reliable, and high-performing server environment while partnering with security, network, and application teams. Success in this role means being able to manage core Windows technologies, support virtualization, improve operational efficiency through scripting, and contribute to a stable, well-documented infrastructure environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Administer and support enterprise Windows Server environments
  • Manage Active Directory including user/group administration, GPOs, and domain services
  • Support Microsoft 365 and Exchange-related administration
  • Build and maintain automation scripts to improve efficiency and reduce manual work
  • Perform patching, hardening, and vulnerability remediation activities
  • Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and support platform reliability
  • Partner with infrastructure, security, and application teams on shared initiatives
  • Participate in server migrations, virtualization efforts, and infrastructure enhancement projects

Role Requirements
  • 5+ years of Windows Server administration experience in an enterprise setting
  • Strong hands-on experience with Active Directory
  • Experience supporting Exchange environments
  • Microsoft 365 administration experience
  • Scripting or automation experience
  • Strong virtualization experience, especially VMware
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Bachelor s degree required

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
  • Patch management experience
  • Vulnerability management experience
  • SCCM exposure
  • Citrix experience
  • Financial services experience
