This is your chance to join our team - help us to design the infrastructure and buildings that improve the world!ResponsibilitiesWRA is currently seeking an experienced Senior Water Resources Engineer in our York, PA office. Our clientele includes a wide range of state and local agencies including PennDOT, PA Turnpike Commission, and numerous PA municipalities. Candidates will work with other WRA offices on projects in other regions as well. Responsibilities will include hydrologic/hydraulic (H/H) studies and drainage, stormwater management (SWM), and erosion/sediment control (ESC) design primarily for transportation projects. Duties also include environmental permit and contract document development; quality control/peer reviews; marketing and business development support; and staff mentoring and development. Experience on PennDOT projects is required and experience with the PA Turnpike or PA municipalities is a plus.RequirementsBachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program16+ years of hydrology/hydraulics/drainage/SWM/ESC design experienceLicensed as a Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Pennsylvania or the ability to obtain within 6 months through comity from another stateExperience designing drainage, stormwater management systems/BMPs, erosion and sediment pollution controls; and preparing contract documents; experience with PA Turnpike Commission, and PA municipalities a plusStrong knowledge of PennDOT/PA Turnpike specifications, policies, and proceduresExperience with H/H design software including HY-8, NRCS (TR-55/TR-20); HydroCAD, StreamStats, HEC-RAS, et. al.Hands‑on experience with MicroStation CADD software.
