Role Description ----------------

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio locations including Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland, or Akron, OH.

As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling combined with data analytics to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.

Role Accountabilities ---------------------

This role will develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning and performing regulatory studies. In addition, this role will provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects.

Additional duties include:

  • Develop and review of technical reports
  • Lead client presentations, coordinating project deliverables, and contributing to scope definition and project pursuits
  • Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications
  • Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight

Required Qualifications ------------------------

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering
  • Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire
  • Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential along with proficiency in GIS

Key Skills and Attributes -------------------------

  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and a deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning
  • Preferred Qualifications:
  • Masters degree
  • Project delivery experience and familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python

We offer nine paid holidays and 20 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $95,000 - $161,000. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project, and location.
