Sandy Mac Evolution, in support of Telecommunication Solutions Group and ManTech, is seeking a qualified Senior Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Engineer<\/b> to support enterprise -level VDI engineering, modernization, optimization, and lifecycle management efforts in Doral, Florida.
<\/p>

The selected candidate will provide technical expertise for mission -critical Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments supporting Department of Defense operations. This role requires hands -on experience with VMware Horizon, ESXi, vCenter, gold image management, patching, automation, cybersecurity compliance, and enterprise VDI support within secure environments.

Position Responsibilities
<\/h2>

The Senior VDI Engineer will support the design, administration, sustainment, and optimization of enterprise VDI systems. Responsibilities include:
<\/p>

<\/p>

• Administering, engineering, and maintaining VMware Horizon VDI environments
<\/div>

• Supporting ESXi and vCenter infrastructure within enterprise virtualized environments
<\/div>

• Managing VDI gold images, image updates, patching, and lifecycle maintenance
<\/div>

• Supporting Dynamic Environment Manager configuration and administration
<\/div>

• Managing App Volumes and Instant Clone Pools
<\/div>

• Supporting FSLogix profiles for Microsoft Office 365 environments
<\/div>

• Performing system optimization, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for VDI platforms
<\/div>

• Supporting modernization and lifecycle management activities for enterprise VDI services
<\/div>

• Assisting with cybersecurity compliance, RMF requirements, STIG implementation, and security best practices
<\/div>

• Developing and maintaining PowerShell scripts and automation to improve operational efficiency
<\/div>

• Supporting documentation, standard operating procedures, technical diagrams, and configuration records
<\/div>

• Collaborating with technical teams, cybersecurity personnel, and mission stakeholders to ensure stable and secure VDI operations
<\/div>

• Supporting critical DoD mission environments requiring high availability, security, and operational reliability
<\/div>

Required Qualifications

• Active Secret Clearance required
<\/div>

• Must be eligible for Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information access
<\/div>

• Senior -level experience supporting enterprise Virtual Desktop Infrastructure environments
<\/div>

• Hands -on experience with VMware Horizon administration and engineering
<\/div>

• Experience with ESXi and vCenter environments
<\/div>

• Experience managing VDI gold images, patching, and system updates
<\/div>

• Experience with VMware Dynamic Environment Manager
<\/div>

• Experience with App Volumes and Instant Clone Pools
<\/div>

• Experience supporting FSLogix for Microsoft Office 365
<\/div>

• Knowledge of RMF, STIG compliance, cybersecurity best practices, and secure DoD system operations
<\/div>

• Experience using PowerShell for scripting, automation, and administrative tasks
<\/div>

• Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills
<\/div>

• Ability to work in a secure, mission -focused DoD environment
<\/div>

Preferred Qualifications
<\/h2>

• Previous experience supporting a DoD Combatant Command environment
<\/div>

• Experience supporting large -scale enterprise VDI modernization or optimization efforts
<\/div>

• Familiarity with DoD cybersecurity processes, configuration baselines, and secure system administration
<\/div>

• Experience working with cross -functional technical teams in classified or mission -critical environments
<\/div>
