Description Amazon Grocery is seeking an exceptionally motivated, financially adept, skilled negotiator and passionate business leader to help us develop the future of Meal Essentials on Amazon. Our mission is to enable our customers to easily discover and purchase their Grocery needs on Amazon, quickly and efficiently, while lowering overall cost-to-serve. The Sr Vendor Manager is responsible for managing inputs, customer experience, topline performance, and ultimately the overall growth and profitability strategy for their category. He/she facilitates all interactions with the vendor base, including: identifying and on-boarding impactful brands and selection, negotiating contracts and terms, managing promotional activities, and improving operational efficiency (e.g., inbound logistics, instock, payments). We expect this person to be a passionate customer advocate within Amazon and have a long-term, cross-functional mindset and a deep understanding of the P&L. Key job responsibilities Define and execute the category vision and business strategy, including the establishment of North Star metrics and KPIs. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the industry by analyzing macro trends, competitor strategies, and market dynamics. Perform detailed financial analyses to identify growth opportunities and consistently achieve or surpass revenue and profitability targets. Cultivate and manage strategic vendor partnerships while leading negotiations across all business elements to drive results. Expand selection, innovate shopping experiences, enhance product availability, and optimize pricing to deliver an exceptional overall customer experience. Lead cross-functional initiatives and teams to drive alignment and achieve business goals. Streamline and innovate processes to improve efficiency and make the team better. A day in the life To deliver results, this person will own strategic vendor relationships, expand product selection, negotiate vendor terms, partner with marketing and advertising to drive traffic and work with operations and instock to guarantee product availability and reduce cost-to-serve. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
