    As a UI Technical Artist, you will report to Frostbite''s Technical Art Manager, and you''ll help make our development process more creator-centric by serving as a link between engineers and game creators. Your passion for helping others do their best work, combined with your expertise in the technical challenges of UI development will directly contribute to and push the boundaries of the tools and workflows we deliver to game teams.

    You Will

    • Guide the development of Frostbite''s UI tools for creating menu systems and user interfaces.
    • Partner with engineers to improve the usability of Frostbite''s UI creation tool and influence the design of new features.
    • Create UI tools, tech examples, documentation, and training materials to help educate the Frostbite community.
    • Collaborate with Technical Artists and Designers across EA to share tools, workflows, best practices, and translate creator pain points into tool improvements.
    • Define and communicate UI workflow requirements, feature briefs, and quality expectations for Frostbite UI tools.
    • Create high-quality example content that shows scalable, performant, and maintainable UI patterns.

    What we''re looking for

    • 5+ years of experience as a UI Technical Artist or similar in AAA or mobile game development
    • Experience in game engines, user interface systems, and node-based visual scripting
    • Experience developing UI features from concept to live services
    • Practical understanding of UX methodologies and how to apply them
    • Understanding of gaming platforms, their limitations, and requirements for UI solutions

    Bonus Experience

    • Scripting, visual scripting, shader graphs, C# or Python.
    • After Effects, and other animation tools for UI motion graphics
    • 3D DCC tools (such as Max, Maya or Blender)
    • Teaching, training, documentation, or community engagement
    • Interest in improving tools and workflows for creators
    • Comfortable working through ambiguous technical problems
