As a result of an internal promotion, we’re looking for a Senior Training Operations Specialist to lead the strategy and execution of operational, safety, and new site training programs across our network. In this role, you’ll drive training strategy, build scalable programs, and ensure sites are ready to perform from day one - partnering across the business to strengthen skills, reinforce safety, and advance operational excellence.

  • This position is designed and intended to be performed on-site in Muscatine, IA.

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Serve as the primary training contact for site leadership, employees, contractors, and new site launches
  • Develop, implement, and maintain site training and qualification programs across operations, safety, and development
  • Lead incident investigations, driving action plans and tracking resolution to strengthen safety and training outcomes
  • Create and enforce job task aids, ensuring consistent execution and daily adherence across teams
  • Lead competency walkthroughs, inspections, and daily floor presence to reinforce standards and performance
  • Own training documentation, procedures, and qualification programs — setting clear objectives and direction
  • Deliver and support safety training, safe equipment operation, and ergonomic improvement initiatives
  • Partner across the business to drive training engagement, support technical teams, and champion continuous improvement efforts (including 5S and network participation)

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 2 or more years of experience in manufacturing operations or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, Industrial Hygiene, ANSI, NFPA, and DOT standards, with the ability to apply them in practice
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint, Excel, and safety/auditing software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships across employees, contractors, and external partners
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, including motivating teams and delivering performance feedback
  • Experience with ISO 9000 and lean manufacturing principles (preferred)

TRAVEL EXPECTED:

  • Up to 10% collaborating with other facilities and for training/conferences
