Duration: 6+ Months with Possible Extension.
Salary Range: $25- $30/Hour on W2 Only (All inclusive) Applicant must be willing to work on W2.
 
Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Telecom Expense Analyst to join our team for a 6-month contract opportunity in Morristown, NJ. This role is responsible for interacting with telecommunications and information technology vendors to acquire necessary supporting documentation for accurate inventory entries. The individual will streamline and consolidate inventory and billing platforms, manage telecom cost structures, and provide key metrics to the Management Team. The role will focus on telecom assurance, telecom billing, and managing telecom lifecycle processes to ensure efficiency and cost savings.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Telecom Cost Management & Billing:
    • Develop and manage a comprehensive technology telecom cost structure.
    • Streamline and consolidate telecom billing across the enterprise onto a single platform.
    • Forecast monthly/quarterly telecom run rates and manage changes.
    • Oversee and manage telecom billing lifecycle, ensuring accuracy in all billing processes.
    • Work closely with IT teams and Field teams to guide and manage telecom technology deployments.
  2. Platform Integration & Vendor Management:
    • Lead the integration and migration to a new Telecom Expense Management (TEM) platform.
    • Manage IT and Telecom Carrier Vendor SLAs, ensuring compliance and performance reporting.
    • Direct and review work performed by third-party vendors in telecom services.
    • Participate in developing Quarterly Business Reviews with IT vendors.
  3. Audit & Compliance:
    • Oversee the audit, maintenance, and verification of telecom billing, charge-back models, and contract compliance.
    • Monitor all telecommunications services, including cellular, local, long distance, data networks, and international services.
    • Consult in the RFP process for telecom-related services and review contracts, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure best practices.
    • Ensure compliance with BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, and OFAC regulations.
  4. Team Leadership & Collaboration:
    • Build and manage a strong telecom team responsible for transforming telecom billing systems and processes.
    • Foster collaboration between carriers, IT, Field, Finance, and Accounts Payable teams.
    • Provide guidance on telecom processes, services, and cost-saving strategies.
  5. Reporting & Process Improvement:
    • Develop reporting and metrics for Senior Leadership to track progress, cost savings, and performance.
    • Identify process improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
    • Execute projects to improve efficiency and reduce overall telecom expenses.
  6. Additional Responsibilities:
    • Participate in all relevant meetings, including project discussions, reviews, and team meetings.
    • Provide support and guidance as needed by management.
    • Complete BSA training and ensure all team members meet regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications:
  1. Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Telecommunications, Business, or a related discipline.
  2. Experience:
    • Minimum 8 years of experience in telecom billing, telecom assurance, or related roles.
    • Proven experience in managing telecom cost structures and platforms.
    • Experience with Telecom Expense Management (TEM) tools (e.g., Calero) is highly preferred.
    • Strong experience in managing telecom vendor SLAs and auditing billing processes.
    • Solid knowledge of telecom services (DIA, MPLS, Broadband, etc.) and telecom lifecycle management.
  3. Technical Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of telecom billing platforms and technology solutions.
    • Experience with forecasting and budgeting telecom costs.
    • Familiarity with industry regulations (BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT, OFAC).
  4. Management & Leadership:
    • Strong management, communication, and leadership skills.
    • Ability to build, lead, and manage cross-functional teams.
    • Ability to negotiate and collaborate effectively with vendors, IT teams, and internal stakeholders.
  5. Analytical Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making abilities.
    • Experience developing and presenting detailed reports to senior leadership.
  6. Additional Skills:
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities.
    • Ability to learn new technologies quickly and stay updated with industry trends.
    • Results-oriented and team player with the ability to influence and collaborate across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Telecom certification (e.g., Certified Telecom Professional or related)
  • Experience with telecom platform integrations and migrations
  • Knowledge of RFP processes, contract management, and cost optimization strategies
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance within the telecom industry
