Position Summary:
This job is responsible for building and leading a team to deliver technology products and services that meet business outcomes. Key responsibilities include developing a technology strategy, ensuring technology solutions comply with applicable standards, promoting design, engineering, and organizational practices, and advocating and advancing modern, Agile solution delivery practices. Job expectations may include coaching, mentoring, providing feedback and hands on career development, identifying emerging talent, fostering leadership skills, and managing stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Builds and manages teams by performing financial activities to inform workforce strategy and hiring practices, setting and tracking maturity and quality objectives, and training employees/teams to address feedback and achieve quality and performance objectives
Facilitates performance and career development of employees/teams through performance reviews, coaching, and creating development plans that are needed to build competencies and skills
Manages solution delivery and application performance in production (app health, resiliency, performance, security, enterprise data management standards, audit exams and reviews), ensuring all relevant risk, financial, and compliance policies are met
Manages relationships with business and technology partners and leads and creates followership in Communities of Practice in the organization
Contributes to the technology strategy for their technical domain
Creates an inclusive and healthy working environment and helps to resolve organizational impediments/blockers
Ensures that execution is aligned with product strategy by working with product management and other stakeholders
Lead and guide engineering teams in the design, development, and delivery of reusable code modules supporting Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and platform capabilities
Establish and enforce code quality standards, design patterns, and peer review practices to ensure maintainable, scalable, and secure code
Drive the implementation of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise, enabling standardized, version-controlled infrastructure provisioning
Oversee the development of modular, reusable Terraform code and shared libraries to accelerate consistent platform adoption
Direct the execution of cloud automation initiatives, including provisioning, configuration management, and environment orchestration
Ensure all platform configurations are delivered through automated pipelines (CI/CD) with built-in testing, validation, and compliance checks
Guide engineers in implementing policy-as-code and governance frameworks within Terraform Enterprise to enforce security and regulatory requirements
Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of cloud platform configurations, from design through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
Partner with architecture, security, and compliance teams to ensure secure-by-design configurations aligned with enterprise standards
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in cloud engineering, platform engineering, or infrastructure operations, with a strong focus on GCP
Proven leadership experience guiding engineering teams in delivering large-scale cloud platforms and automation solutions
Deep expertise in Infrastructure as Code (IaC), with hands-on experience in Terraform Enterprise as a primary tooling platform
Strong background in software engineering principles, including code quality, modular design, version control, and automated testing
Experience implementing and scaling CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure and application delivery
Demonstrated expertise in DevSecOps practices, including integrating security and compliance into automated workflows
Strong knowledge of GCP services, networking (VPCs, load balancing, hybrid connectivity), and cloud architecture patterns
Experience with policy-as-code, governance frameworks, and regulatory compliance in enterprise environments (preferably financial services)
Proven ability to drive automation and platform standardization across large, complex organizations
Strong understanding of observability, monitoring, and incident management in cloud environments
Experience mentoring engineers and building high-performing, technically strong teams
Desired Qualifications:
Ability to operate effectively in cross-functional environments, partnering with architecture, security, risk, and business stakeholders
Familiarity with AI/ML-driven automation and intelligent infrastructure management is a plus
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in high-impact, regulated environments
