Job Title: Senior Technical Writer
Duration: 12 months
Location: Columbia, SC – 29201 (Candidate MUST be able to commute to the Columbia office as needed. (Resources must be local to South Carolina ONLY)

Overview:
The Division of Information Security is seeking Technical Writing resources to support secure deployment and management of the State-Wide Information Technology Shared Services initiatives and projects.
Responsibilities:
- This implementation assistance would include, but is not limited to:
- Status reporting of operational support tasks and related work efforts.
- Identifying metrics and key performance indicators (kpis) of processes and their output.
- Create, manage and maintain policy, plan, process, procedure and other program documents such as process flows, standard operating procedures, desk manuals and procedural guidelines.
- Review, edit, and maintain documentation consistency and accuracy for documentation submitted by both staff and vendors
- Monitor and support deadlines, milestones and activities
- Apply change, risk and resource management
- Document all meetings attended, directives, and significant phone conversations.
- Develop and deliver professional technical program updates to client leadership and supporting staff.
- Communicates with it leadership, business leadership and it business consultants to communicate program strategy, direction and changes.
- Responsible for tracking key project milestones and recommending adjustments to project managers
- Must possess extensive knowledge and expertise in the use of microsoft office tools.
Required Skills (Rank in Order of Importance):
- Excellent Technical Writing Skills; Technical Writing Experience
- Ability To Create Effective and Clear Process Flows and Similar Diagrams In PowerPoint Or Visio

- Strong Schedule Management and Planning Skills

- 5+ Years of Experience in Technical Writing

Required Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or an Associate's Degree With 2 Years of Experience
