ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES

We are seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager for a leading aerospace manufacturing client integrating advanced robotics and automated tooling into aircraft production environments, which would be a great opportunity for someone with experience in complex hardware/software program execution looking to further their career in aerospace automation and systems engineering.

  • Own end-to-end delivery of robotics and automated tooling programs-from requirements definition through CISS, CIPS, and full production deployment.
  • Build and maintain Integrated Master Schedules (IMS), resource plans, and program budgets, including earned value tracking and forecast accuracy.
  • Drive cross-functional execution across mechanical design, controls, software, manufacturing, and supply chain teams.
  • Serve as the primary interface to Airbus internal stakeholders, external partners, and supplier networks-leading program reviews, status updates, and executive-level reporting.
  • Coordinate system architecture decisions across robotics, motion control, vision systems, tooling, and factory integration.
  • Manage scope changes, contract deliverables, and commercial impacts; support onsite installation, commissioning, and production readiness activities.
  • Implement continuous improvement across program execution, documentation, and lessons learned; support proposal development and technical scoping for new programs.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • 7-10+ years managing complex technical programs in robotics, automation, aerospace tooling, or capital equipment.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering integrated hardware/software systems into production environments.
  • Strong understanding of industrial robotics, controls systems, and automated manufacturing.
  • Proficiency with program management tools (MS Project, Smartsheet, Primavera, or similar) and structured milestone management (PDR, CDR, FDR).
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills across engineering, operations, and executive leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Industrial Engineering, or related field (MS preferred).
  • U.S. Person under ITAR definition (U.S. Citizen, green card holder, or covered under an existing ITAR license).

BONUS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with aerospace OEM production systems, including robotic drilling, fastening, inspection, or assembly automation.
  • PMP certification or equivalent program management training.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation safety standards (ISO, ANSI/RIA, CE) and configuration control processes.
  • Experience with international programs and supplier coordination; French language proficiency a plus.
  • Prior experience with aerospace automation integrators.
