Position Summary:

The Senior Technical Business Analyst (Payments) serves as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams, specializing in payment systems and financial technologies. This role is responsible for analyzing complex business requirements, designing, and optimizing payment solutions, and supporting development and QA teams within an Agile framework. The position also plays a key role in enhancing payment processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering high-quality technical documentation.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and document business requirements related to payment systems, third-party vendors, and financial technologies.
  • Manage client interactions during testing phases, including tracking bug fixes and coordinating change requests.
  • Conduct gap analyses and translates business needs into clear functional and technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation and delivery of payment features.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user stories, release notes, and integration guides.
  • Facilitate meetings with clients and internal stakeholders to present technical solutions and gather feedback.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, based on evolving business needs.

Qualifications and Competencies Required.

Required Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business analysis, preferably in payments or fintech.
  • Strong understanding of payment acquiring/issuing systems, transaction flows, and compliance standards.
  • Experience with real-time transaction processing systems.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.

Skills Required:

  • Demonstrates strong cross-functional collaboration skills, effectively partnering with product, technology, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Possesses experience working with portal technologies and enterprise-level platforms.
  • Consistently exhibits professionalism, respect, and integrity in all interactions while adhering to organizational policies, procedures, and core values.
  • Maintains a solid understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks applicable to lending and payment operations.

Qualifications Preferred:

  • Demonstrates strong cross-functional collaboration skills with product, technology, operations, and marketing teams.
  • Experience working with portal technologies and enterprise-level platforms.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Solid understanding of compliance and regulatory frameworks related to lending and payment operation.

Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.

Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.

Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to one of the following cities: Atlanta, GA; Dallas, TX

Work Schedule This position requires the ability to work various shifts to accommodate business needs. Typically, between the hours of 8AM-6PM Monday through Friday and on weekends as needed. Travel is required 10% of the time.
