We are on the hunt for an experienced and dynamic Senior Tax Manager to join our fast-paced and growing Accounting + Finance team. This position is integral to our organization, and we are looking for someone who can bring a wealth of tax accounting knowledge and experience to the table. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker, ready to take on complex tax-related projects, and have a keen eye for details. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
Responsibilities:
As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for a diverse range of tasks, including but not limited to:
1. Overseeing and managing the preparation and review of corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns.
2. Conducting thorough research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and risks.
3. Implementing tax strategies that align with the organization's business goals.
4. Ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local tax regulations.
5. Serving as the primary contact for tax authorities and coordinating audits.
6. Supervising, mentoring, and developing junior staff members.
7. Analyzing and interpreting tax regulations, keeping abreast of changes in tax legislation.
8. Providing expert tax advice to senior management on business decisions.
9. Participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities.
10. Assisting in the preparation of financial statements and reports.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Senior Tax Manager position will possess the following:
1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting or a related field.
2. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is preferred.
3. Extensive knowledge of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
4. Proven experience in tax planning and strategy development.
5. Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of managing a team.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex tax information to non-tax professionals.
8. High level of integrity and professionalism.
9. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
10. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
