Location: Chandler or Scottsdale, AZ (Hybrid)

The Role
As a Senior Tax Manager – Estate & Trust, you will play a key leadership role within the tax practice, with a strong focus on estate, trust, and wealth‑preservation planning. You will serve as a technical resource, trusted advisor to clients, and mentor to managers, supervisors, seniors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide estate, trust, and wealth‑transfer tax planning, including:
- Estate and gift tax planning
- Wealth preservation strategies
- Retirement plan distributions
- Charitable giving techniques
- Gifting limitations and transfer tax considerations
- Generation‑skipping transfer planning
- Spousal trusts and split gifting
- Education and medical gifting strategies
- Review and sign tax returns and manage projects related to individuals, partnerships, and S corporations
- Oversee fiduciary income tax planning and preparation
- Research and manage complex tax matters and planning strategies
- Supervise, train, and mentor staff, seniors, supervisors, and managers
- Act as a technical resource and subject‑matter expert
- Build and develop new business opportunities
- Maintain and expand existing client relationships
- Develop and network with referral sources
- Consult with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and recommend solutions
- Primarily local travel within the Phoenix metro area
What Our Client Is Looking For
- 10+ years of public accounting tax experience
- Significant experience in estate and trust taxation
- Active CPA license required
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Prior management experience within a public accounting firm
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities

Compensation
- $145,000 – $175,000 base, depending on experience and credentials
