The Senior Tax Analyst - Federal Compliance supports the preparation and filing of U.S. federal income tax returns and plays a key role in process improvement initiatives within the tax function. This role partners closely with tax leadership and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in federal tax reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Tax Director with the preparation of U.S. federal corporate income tax returns
Compile data and prepare consolidated U.S. federal income tax returns using CorpTax-based applications
Prepare additional federal income tax returns for entities not included in the consolidated filing
Support tax technical research, tax technology initiatives, and process design improvements
Maintain and support tax department applications and databases
Implement and support SOX controls related to the federal tax return preparation process
Reconcile federal income tax returns to amounts reported in publicly filed financial statements
Assist with Internal Revenue Service audit documentation and support
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the tax department
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in tax and/or accounting
OR
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience as an accountant with a Big Four public accounting firm
Strong knowledge of U.S. income tax rules and regulations, with an emphasis on corporate consolidations
Proficiency with Microsoft and Adobe tools, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, SharePoint, and OneDrive
Experience using tax research tools such as BNA, RIA, CCH, or similar platforms
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Accounting or Tax
CPA designation strongly preferred
Experience with SAP, OneStream, CorpTax, Alteryx, Business Objects, Microsoft Power Query, and Power BI

This is a hybrid position based in Phoenix, AZ, combining remote work with in-person collaboration as business needs require.
