Specific duties in this Senior Tax Accountant role include:

• 
  
• Preparing federal and state income tax returns for partnerships, trusts, individuals, and corporations
• 
  
• Recommends tax strategies, researching federal, state, and local taxation issues
• 
  
• Maintaining legislative materials reviewing, interpreting, and implementing new or revised laws
• 
  
• Maintaining compliance with regulations by forwarding required information to federal, state, and local authorities
• 
  
• Providing assistance in areas of IRS audit, tax planning and special projects
• 
  
• Continually updating job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications and participating in professional organizations
• 
  

Job Requirements

We are looking for a Senior Tax Accountant who combines a solid background in tax accounting and exceptional organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines. You should be detail-oriented and have sound judgment and strong reasoning skills, as well as good analytic and problem-solving abilities. It is also important that you display excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Specific requirements for this Senior Tax Accountant position include:

• BS degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent business experience
• 
  
• 4+ years of tax accounting experience, experience with preparing federal and state returns
• 
  
• MST or CPA preferred
• 
  
• Solid understanding of tax process, systems and software
• 
  
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, with advanced working knowledge of Excel
• 
  
• Effective communication skills to interact with tax and non-tax personnel
• 
  
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• 
  

Yearly Compensation $120,000 - $150,000 plus benefits depending on experience
