Ledgent Finance & Accounting is currently partnering with a growing client in the Tampa area to identify a Senior Accountant with a strong foundation in public accounting. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with 3-5 years of experience who are looking to transition out of a traditional CPA firm environment while continuing to build on their tax and client-facing expertise.

About the Opportunity

This role offers the chance to move into a more balanced, advisory-oriented environment, supporting a portfolio of clients with both tax and accounting needs. You'll work closely with business owners and leadership teams, gaining exposure beyond compliance into strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review corporate tax returns (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership)
• Assist with tax planning and strategy for a diverse client base
• Perform and oversee monthly and quarterly bookkeeping activities
• Support financial statement preparation and analysis
• Serve as a client-facing resource for ongoing accounting and tax needs
• Ensure compliance with applicable tax regulations and reporting requirements

Desired Background

• 3-5 years of experience in a public CPA firm environment
• Hands-on experience with:
• • Corporate tax preparation
  • Tax planning and compliance
  • Multi-client bookkeeping (e.g., QuickBooks)
• CPA license or progress toward certification is strongly preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and client engagements
• Strong communication skills with a client-service mindset
