The ideal candidate will apply advanced engineering knowledge to complex system design, development, testing, and troubleshooting activities. This role requires strong technical expertise, independent decision‑making skills, and experience supporting product development in regulated environments.ResponsibilitiesApply intensive and diversified knowledge of design principles, practices, and implementation for complex systems and assignments.Generate design concepts, participate in design reviews, and support system development activities.Develop and execute testing strategies to evaluate system performance against design specifications.Perform reliability testing and assess system interactions.Make independent engineering decisions and provide technical solutions.Assist in developing manufacturing processes and troubleshooting issues to determine root causes and engineering solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and execute TMV (Test Method Validation), Test Method Development, DOE (Design of Experiments), and data analysis activities.Utilize Python coding skills for data analysis and engineering evaluations.Analyze digital sensor outputs and interpret performance data.Develop and maintain test beds for system‑level testing.Troubleshoot complex electro‑mechanical system issues.Create comprehensive testing plans and execute hands‑on testing protocols.Author detailed technical reports and documentation.Manage defect lifecycle activities, including defect collection, documentation, tracking, and summarization for development partners.Analyze test results, evaluate performance, and recommend process improvements.Additional ResponsibilitiesFollow company procedures, engineering standards, and quality practices.Participate in defining new components, products, and processes while identifying technical challenges.Develop innovative solutions and potentially patentable components or processes.Plan and execute engineering projects with minimal supervision.Design and participate in experiments using advanced engineering techniques.Apply DOE methodologies where appropriate.Participate in technical team activities and share engineering knowledge.Prepare and present project results to technical teams and stakeholders.Monitor work quality and promote a Quality First Time approach.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Required Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Chemical, Biomedical, Software, or related engineering discipline preferred).8+ years of engineering experience in systems engineering, product development, or related technical roles.Hands‑on experience with electro‑mechanical devices and system‑level testing.Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.Experience developing and executing test plans and validation strategies.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in FDA or FAA regulated environments.Medical device industry experience strongly preferred.Experience with sensor systems, digital outputs, and data analysis.Proficiency with Python or similar programming languages for engineering analysis.Experience with Design of Experiments (DOE) methodologies.Position OverviewThis Senior Systems Engineer role requires greater autonomy and technical ownership compared to a standard Systems Engineer position.
