Senior Systems Engineer (Business Unit: Projects)The Senior Systems Engineer leverages technical expertise in end user engineering to strengthen the reliability, efficiency, and performance of client systems. This role is a technical partner to implement established standards and procedures supporting the client's managed infrastructure, ensuring operational stability.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for implementing reliable solutions that maintain the integrity of existing infrastructure while meeting the customer's objectives, working effectively in a team to establish synergies with IT peers across the organization.ResponsibilitiesCoordinate and lead the design, testing, evaluation, implementation, and support for multiple complex platforms of large size and complexity (hardware, operating systems, software, systems tools and IT processes).Consult with other business units (e.g., application development groups, Field Services Technical Support) to configure platforms for product installation.Ensure platforms/systems conform to established enterprise/industry standards (systems management, security, operating systems, etc.) and reference models.Design and document enterprise standards and procedures.Serve as a point of escalation, providing technical support to Support Technicians and Field Services teams.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and CompetenciesPurpose Driven: Uses rigorous logic and methods to solve difficult problems, applies relevant technical processes, and evaluates business requirements to recommend technologies that enhance availability, reliability, scalability, and security.Project Management: Manage client projects, coordinate activities with internal and external technology owners/service providers, communicate effectively, and handle aggressive mission‑critical deadlines.Executes with Tenacity: Demonstrate dedication, task management, and the ability to complete assignments on time.Technical Prowess: Proficient in core Microsoft technologies (Windows Server 2003–2016, Microsoft Exchange 2003–2016, Office 365, SQL Server 2000–2016), firewalls, switches, routers, networking (LAN, WAN, VMPLS, VLAN, routing, firewalls), clustered environments, storage solutions (MD, Compellent, HP, Nimble, QNAP), virtualization (Hyper‑V, VMWare), VOIP troubleshooting, and on‑site support.Other ExpectationsFlexibility and adaptability to changing circumstances and future trends.Experience & Education5+ years experienceDegree valued but not requiredBehavioral Traits for SuccessHigh standard of quality for work performedTenacity, adaptability, and stress toleranceProactive steps to achieve objectives#J-18808-Ljbffr
