SENIOR SYSTEMS ENGINEER
LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA
SALARY RANGE: $140,000-$150,000 annually*
JOB STATUS: Full-Time
CLEARANCE: Secret
TRAVEL: Limited; As Needed
Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Systems Engineer providing support to the the Ground Based Air Defense Sector/ Tactical Sensors Branch (AFLCMC/HBD) located at the Hanscom AFB in Bedford Massachusetts.
The selected candidate will provide systems engineering support in the design, operation, and sustainment-of-systems and components that cover tasks throughout the acquisition lifecycle.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

Education: BA/BS degree
Years' experience: 12 years of experience, with at least five years supporting DoD programs
Technical Skills
Systems Engineering across the acquisition lifecycle
Systems Architecture and Integration
Requirements Analysis and Development
Mission Integration and System-of-Systems Engineering
Operational Analysis and Architecture Development
Cloud-based systems, including management and projection of cost and performance
Agile methodologies, CI/CD, DevSecOps, and DevOps principles
Knowledge of systems acquisition and program management processes as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and DoDI 5000.75
Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis
Technical Documentation and Brief Development
Interpersonal Skills
Self-starter with the ability to work independently and solve complex problems with minimal oversight
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to collaborate effectively across Government, contractor, joint, and coalition organizations
Ability to communicate technical concepts to senior leadership and stakeholders
