Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 6 years of relevant experience. CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Ability to obtain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance is required at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.

As a seasoned leader, you’ll be involved with our client's decision-making process by serving as a front-line interface to users with technical issues and conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training users. You’ll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. We’ll rely on you to perform, maintain, troubleshoot and conduct a complete analysis of alerts; create scripts to automate repetitive processes; and work with customers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems with servers that are affecting other services.

A Systems Admin Specialist is responsible for maintaining and supporting the company's technology infrastructure. This includes installing and updating software, managing servers and networks, and troubleshooting any technical issues. They may also be involved in security efforts, ensuring data protection and compliance with company policies.

 

Key Responsibilities:• Responsible for managing the functionality, efficiency, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of both physical and virtual hardware including those in lab environments and computers running on one or more operating systems using monitoring tools.• Work with customers to identify, isolate, and resolve problems with server that are affecting other services.• Executes, maintains, and promotes Security Compliancy and Process Improvement processes and policies.• Ability to express and discuss technical topics effectively within team environment.• Conducts systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies.• Carries out specific assignments to repair defects, perform upgrades and preventative maintenance in primary domain.• Performs Operating System and vendor software patching on servers.• Run scripts and tools to automate repetitive processes and provides inputs for improvements.• Configures, maintains and troubleshoots network related interfaces on servers.• Performs troubleshoots and does analysis of alerts on Servers.• Key contributor in identifying, implementing, reviewing, approving, and analyzing new performance metrics.to optimize the environment for efficiencies and identify additional improvement opportunities.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:• Fully proficient understanding of various operating systems like Windows, Linux, and UNIX.• Intermediate knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and other networking concepts.• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection systems.• Familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware, Hyper-V, or similar.• Fully proficient knowledge of backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies.• Ability to configure and manage servers and network devices.• Fully proficient problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.• Proficiency in scripting languages like PowerShell, Bash, or Python for automation tasks.• Experience with system monitoring and management tools like Nagios, SolarWinds, or similar.• Fully proficient documentation skills to maintain system documentation, procedures, and policies.• Ability to analyze complex systems and troubleshoot effectively.• Identifies opportunities to apply AI for continuous improvement and innovation.• Fully proficient verbal and written communication skills to interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Fully proficient attention to detail for system management and security practices.• Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support cross-functional projects.

• Experience working with or familiarity with AI/ML models is preferred

Combined Salary Range

USD $145,892.00 - USD $153,870.00 /Yr.
