Summary

CHS Inc. is seeking a Senior Supply Planning Analyst to support the Oilseeds Processing product line. This role is responsible for turning business strategy into clear, actionable supply plans.

The position focuses on supply and demand planning through the S&OP process by developing and maintaining tools, processes, and a single, agreed‑upon plan used across teams. The analyst will analyze data, provide insights that support business decisions, and help improve overall supply chain performance.

This role works closely with trading, transportation, operations, and finance teams to ensure plans are aligned and executable.

 

This is a hybrid role with at least three days per week on-site at our global corporate headquarters in Inver Grove Heights, MN 

Responsibilities

  • Lead the monthly supply planning process for oilseeds processing plants, including capacity planning, master production schedules and transportation forecasts
  • Maintain supply, capacity and scenario models in IBP and other tools to inform critical commercial and operational decisions
  • Partner with commercial, operations, transportation, scheduling and finance to align on a 24-month rolling One Number Plan
  • Incorporate asset capabilities and transportation constraints into planning models to ensure realistic and actionable scenarios
  • Produce clear market and supply chain insights and recommendations that highlight risks, opportunities, and financial implications for decision-making
  • Build and enhance analytical tools, dashboards, and planning templates that improve cross-functional visibility and consensus planning efficiency while leveraging AI for efficiency
  • Contribute to business cases for capital investments that enable asset and network performance
  • Identify supply chain improvements through network optimization, key performance metrics and cost-to-serve analysis, tracking progress against product line goals, cost savings and value creation opportunities
  • Facilitate discussions across matrixed teams to drive alignment on assumptions, scenarios, and execution plans.

Minimum Qualifications (required)

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of experience in Supply Chain and Procurement and/or Supply Chain Planning

Additional Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in Business, Economics, Manufacturing, Logistics, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, Statistics or related field
  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills, with demonstrated ability to work with complex datasets.
  • Strong planning problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate business insights into actionable recommendations for supply, demand, and network optimization.
  • Exceptional communication skills—able to simplify complex analyses, build compelling narratives, and present confidently to diverse audiences, including senior stakeholders.
  • High relationship-building and influencing skills, especially in matrixed, cross-functional environments.
  • Strategic facilitation skills, including the ability to lead cross-functional discussions, drive alignment, and navigate conflicting priorities.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent planning and modeling cycles with consistency and accuracy.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft tools, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams/SharePoint.
  • Experience with data visualization and analytics tools such as Power BI, or similar platforms; ability to build dashboards and interpret insights.
  • Hands-on experience in production scheduling or supply planning using modern supply chain technologies, especially SAP IBP, PPDS or similar products
  • Knowledge of robotic process automations (RPAs), such as Power Automate, and AI agents for automating workflows and planning processes

CHS offers a competitive total rewards package. Compensation includes base wage and, depending upon position, may include other earnings such as bonus, incentives and commissions. Actual pay offered will vary based on multiple factors which may include, without limitation, experience, education, training, specialized skills and certifications, minimum wage/salary requirements under local law.
