This role will drive supplier quality improvement initiatives across the supply base, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and customer requirements, to ensure that all sourced materials and components meet stringent quality standards. This position is critical to maintaining product integrity, operational efficiency, and supporting the broader Supply Chain organization in delivering strong supplier partnerships in support of organizational goals and strategic objectives.Responsibilities include:Define and execute the supplier quality strategic vision, aligned with organizational goalsDevelop long‑term strategies for quality‑based supplier performance improvement and risk mitigationEstablish and maintain robust quality driven inputs to support supplier selection, development and monitoring programsImplement incoming material review and CAPA processesDrive supplier‑owned quality programs to ensure materials consistently meet documented specificationsEstablish traceability process for supplied materials to enable root cause analysisSupport establishment of supplier quality systems consistent with ISO9001 or similar standardsMaintain compliance with regulatory requirements where necessaryAid in identifying and troubleshooting process breakdowns and opportunities to address any systemic issuesPartner with Procurement, Technology, Operations, and Commercial teams to align on supplier quality objectivesSupport R&D by ensuring suppliers understand specifications and maintain conformance to quality requirements while ramping to volumeProvide training and support to employees on quality and process improvement mattersPromote a culture of quality and continuous improvementDefine and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for supplier qualityDevelop and present reporting and insights into supplier quality performance and riskWork in conjunction with Procurement to conduct risk assessments for critical suppliers and implement mitigation plansDevelop contingency strategies for supply chain disruptions related to quality issuesRead, understand, and comply with all workplace health and safety policies, safe work practices, and company policies and proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by supervisorWhat we need you to bring to the team:Bachelor's degree in chemical, metallurgical, mining engineering, materials science or materials engineering, quality management, or related field8+ years of experience in supplier quality within a manufacturing environment, ideally with metals, injection molding and industrial chemical suppliersCertified Quality Manager (CQM) or Certified Manager of Quality/Organizational Excellence (CMQ/QE)Demonstrated experience leading quality planning through design transfer, pilot, or demonstration‑scale operations into early‑stage commercial operationsProven expertise in applying APQP principles (DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, etc.) in a scaling manufacturing or industrial environmentExpertise in Lean Six Sigma, and related quality toolsExperience developing and administering a QMS, ideally with expertise in ISO9001Experience working with Contract Manufacturing OrganizationsProven ability to influence across functions and play a leading role in managing strategic suppliersAbility to manage multiple priorities, exhibit a sense of urgency, and maintain equilibrium in a fast‑moving and changing startup environmentStrong analytical skills, with a focus on data‑driven decision‑makingProficiency with Microsoft Office suite of programs including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, and SharePointWhat we want you to bring to the team:Sound understanding of hydrometallurgical processes, including leaching, solvent extraction, precipitation, and electrowinning, and associated equipment and raw materialsSix Sigma Black Belt or Lean Manufacturing certificationFamiliarity with sustainability and ESG compliance in supplier management related to hydrometallurgical operationsCompensation:The anticipated starting pay range for this position is $100,000–$140,000 and may be more or less depending upon skills, experience, and education.Benefits For You:100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, telemedicine, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, and basic life insurance plans$1,800 in annual employer HSA contributionsBenefits For Your Family:100% paid premiums across all medical, dental, vision, and telemedicine plans12 weeks of paid parental leaveBenefits For Your Future:401k with up to 5% matching contributions which vest 100% on day oneEligibility for incentive stock optionsEEO StatementElectra's Equal Employment Opportunity policy, we do not discriminate on the basis of any protected group status under any applicable law.
