Job Opportunity: Senior Substation CivilStructural Engineer
HDR Engineering is looking for a Senior Substation CivilStructural Engineer to join our growing and nationally ranked team of Power Delivery professionals.
Primary Responsibilities
The Senior Substation CivilStructural Engineer has broad technical knowledge and experience with the structural design components of high voltage electrical switchyard and substation projects up to 500 kV, including physical substation design, steel structure calculations, and design and foundation design. Leveraging that knowledge and experience, they work in close coordination with Project Managers, PM, and project teams in multiple office locations to lead, oversee, review, and/or execute the structural engineering and design components of substation projects. The Senior Substation CivilStructural Engineer may also train, mentor, and guide junior engineers across the practice and help develop and implement best practices to advance our capabilities across this discipline. Specific duties include:
• Physical substation design • Steel structure calculations • Design and foundation design • Leading, overseeing, reviewing, and/or executing structural engineering and design components of substation projects • Training, mentoring, and guiding junior engineers • Developing and implementing best practices
