This isn't just a job, it's a chance to lead innovation, engineer impact, and build a legacy of excellence.Responsibilities In the role of Senior Structural Engineer, we'll count on you to:Serve as a technical expert with recognized authority in structural engineering as it relates to projects; resolve problems of greater scope and complexityPlan and develop projects or design activitiesPlan, organize and supervise work of medium to large staff of professionals and techniciansServe as Project Manager on larger projects, though project management is not sole focus of positionPerform other duties as neededPreferred Qualifications Master's degree in Architectural Engineering, Structural emphasisA minimum of 3 years' experience with Data CentersRequired Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural EngineeringA minimum of 10 years structural engineering experience as it relates to building designRequires professional engineering license recognized by the licensing board for the location of the position offered. Example: Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license.Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar analytical softwareExperience in design calculations and layoutsAbility to design and detail in steel, concrete, masonry and woodRequires understanding of gravity analysis and lateral analysisPrevious experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firmAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustWhat We Believe HDR is our company.
