  • Coordinate structural design requirements with designers, drafters, engineers, project managers, and other disciplines.
  • Perform calculation checking and technical review of other engineers' work.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail and quality control.
  • Take ownership of assigned structural scopes and work to meet project schedule, budget, and quality requirements.
  • Define scope, estimate level of effort, and manage workload effectively.
  • Identify potential scope changes and communicate them to the Structural Lead or Project Manager.
  • Recognize when additional support is needed and proactively seek guidance from peers and senior engineers.
  • Provide technical guidance, coaching, and mentorship to designers, drafters, and less experienced engineers.
  • Lead structural engineering efforts for medium-sized projects or serve as a Sub Lead on larger projects.
  • Proactively contribute to the advancement of structural workflows, systems, tools, and emerging technologies.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams, clients, and other project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.
  • Professional Engineer (PE/PEng) license.

  • Strong knowledge of U.S. building codes and standards, including:
    • International Building Code (IBC)
    • ASCE 7
    • ACI
    • AISC
  • Proficiency with structural engineering analysis and design software.
  • Proficiency with Navisworks and Bluebeam.
  • Experience designing and analyzing traditional steel and concrete structures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in Structural Engineering or a Master's degree in Structural Engineering.
  • Structural Engineer (SE) license.
  • Experience supporting semiconductor, industrial, or other complex industrial facilities.
  • Experience leading medium-sized engineering teams or project teams.
  • Experience providing technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers and design staff.
