Together, we are EXP.Your Work Environment at EXPIn this role, you will be a part of a Building Structures focused team and reporting to a Director of Building Structures. The location for the selected candidate is flexible, but ideal locations could include Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Maitland, Fort Myers, Tallahassee, and Jacksonville. The Building Structures team executes projects throughout the United States and several U.S. Territories, with opportunities to support non-U.S. based teams within EXP. The successful candidate will work both independently and as part of a diverse in‑house team of professionals and subconsultants across the country, providing technical expertise in project execution and mentoring less experienced team members. You should expect engagement in a variety of project types, including mission‑critical buildings, telecommunications facilities, and commercial building design.What a Day at EXP has in Store for YouAbility to self‑perform and/or assist others in performing the required work at any stage of a project from schematic design through construction administration.Calculations, sketches, drawing production, specifications, and multi‑discipline coordination are expected on a regular basis.Conducting observations of and evaluating existing conditions in the field and via existing historical drawings.Work on multiple projects concurrently that require coordination between multiple EXP offices and outside consultants.Occasional short‑term travel to project sites, usually a single night or two at a time.What Your Experience Looks LikeMaster's or Bachelor's Degree in Structural Engineering with at least 8 years of experience focused on building design.Solid understanding of structural analysis software such as RAM, RISA, and ETABS.Strong Revit skills in both modeling and sheet creation, with additional skills in family creation, parameter use, and templates as a plus.Professional Engineering licensure required; licensure as a Structural Engineer via structural specific examinations (Structural I/II, Structural Gravity/Lateral) preferred.Master's degree in Structural Engineering strongly preferred; a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a structural emphasis is considered a minimum requirement.Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to write persuasively and communicate technical subject matter concisely to a non‑technical audience.About UsOur StoryWith a mission to understand, innovate, partner, and deliver, EXP provides engineering, architecture, design, and consulting services to the world's built and natural environments.
