This diverse range of structural engineering services helps improve mobility for the traveling public.VHB is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer to join our dynamic and growing Structures group on a temp/flexible basis. In this position, you would support the planning, analysis, and design of a diverse portfolio of structural projects across New England.This role could be performed by a fully remote engineer who resides within the MA/RI/NH region and could travel to client sites when needed.Learn more about our Structures practice at VHB: Bridges & Structures | VHBResponsibilitiesSupport, develop, organize and implement structural planning, analysis, preliminary and final design document preparation.Task management.Reviews plans, specifications, reports, and analyses to meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality requirements.Skills and AttributesExtensive knowledge of concepts, practices, and procedures in structural engineeringDemonstrated excellence in technical writingTeam oriented with strong capability to work independentlyRobust technical and critical thinking skillsDetail oriented and quality focusedStrong project management skillsMotivated to lead and mentor othersKnowledge of structural engineering softwareAutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation v8, Revit, OpenRoads, OpenBridge and/or Connect experience is a strong plusQualifications8-11 years of professional experience in structural bridge and building design required, construction phasing, and complex projectsBS in Civil Engineering. Master's Degree preferred.PE licensure required.Our best estimate of the hourly rate for this position located in Boston/Watertown, MA is $55.00-$81.00 per hour, and the position located in Worcester, MA is $50.00-76.00 per hour.
