ROLE OVERVIEW
This position plays a vital role in supervising the design and production of structural engineering services, focused on industrial projects involving steel and concrete structures like equipment foundations and material handling systems. Responsibilities include developing man-hour and material estimates for capital projects in collaboration with the preconstruction team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Guide and actively contribute to designing and analyzing structural components for diverse projects in commercial, industrial, and infrastructural fields.
- Manage the structural dimensions of projects, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and safety and quality compliance.
- Ensure alignment of structural designs with applicable building codes and safety standards.
- Coordinate with architects, civil engineers, and contractors to optimize project execution and integration.
- Offer expertise and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration.
- Tackle complex structural challenges with innovative strategies and solutions.
- Compile detailed technical documents, calculations, and design specifications for stakeholders.
- Execute structural assessments and inspections to validate engineering precision and quality.
- Keep abreast of cutting-edge structural engineering technologies and methods, and incorporate them into practices when beneficial.

- At least 10 years of experience with structural design and analysis as a focus area.
- Competency in structural engineering software such as SAP2000, STAAD, or Revit.
- Experience in producing construction designs and familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
- Professional Engineer licensing in South Carolina is beneficial, with potential for reciprocity eligibility in other regions.
