With a century of experience serving the energy, federal government, transportation, and water sectors, we help improve lives and shape infrastructure systems.Job OverviewStanley Consultants is currently seeking a Structural Engineer for our Denver, CO (Centennial) office.What You Will Be DoingDesign buildings and heavy industrial structures in accordance with design codes and standards published by ICC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.Concrete and structural steel design, including vibration analysis.Use RISA, STAAD.Pro, Mathcad, LPILE and other structural software.Determine client requirements and develop reports, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.Assist in the preparation of engineering estimates and design schedules for projects.Evaluate the need for design changes and communicate appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.Serve as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinate technical efforts within discipline areas.Consult with construction personnel on design constructability as related to field conditions.Visit construction sites to monitor progress, make structural observations.Lead multiple, concurrent projects.Develop less experienced members through project task delegation.Conduct QA/QC reviews on structural calculations, specifications, and drawings.Typical ActivitiesDetermining project design requirements and developing calculations, specifications, drawings, instructions, and related documents.Reviewing vendor documents, geotechnical reports, and supporting construction efforts.Assisting in the preparation of cost estimates and design schedules for projects.Evaluating the need for design changes and communicating appropriate recommendations to project manager or clients.Serving as a technical liaison with clients on project efforts and coordinating technical efforts within discipline areas.Coordinating the structural work required to complete projects with designers, graphics, other disciplines, and project managers while maintaining schedules set and budgets established.Consulting with construction personnel concerning design constructability as related to field conditions.Compensated overtime (as needed) to hit project submittals and team workload.Required QualificationsExperience in the design of heavy industrial structures and equipment foundations associated with power generation facilities, in compliance with design codes and standards published by IBC, ASCE, ACI, and AISC.Proficient in concrete and structural steel design.Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and team members.Software: RISA or STAAD.Pro, Mathcad, L-Pile or MFAD (optional), AutoCAD, BlueBeam Revu.PE license or the ability to obtain within 6 months of hire.BenefitsMember‑Owned – member‑ownership is at the heart of our culture.Paid Time Away – numerous paid holidays, generous paid time off, parental leave, professional development leave.Health Insurance – comprehensive medical, dental, vision, FSA, HSA, Doctor On Demand, wellness reimbursement, mental health resources.Financial Health – life insurance, short‑ and long‑term disability insurance, identity theft protection, and other benefits.Professional Growth – tuition assistance, professional society membership, and more.Financial Rewards – company stock ownership, generous 401(k) match, incentive compensation, and profit‑sharing contributions to retirement 401(k) plans.Equal Opportunity EmployerStanley Consultants is an equal opportunity employer.
