We hire the best and the brightest from across the country – constructing a team of experts in architecture, design, engineering, project management, and business services.A DAY IN THE LIFE Communicate with technical drafting staff, clients, and others outside the project teamPrepare preliminary designs for clientsReview building codes to assure proper implementation in designAttend client meetings, coordinate with construction project managers, architect, civil, and mechanical engineersProduce structural calculations for implementation with technical drafting staff during preparation of construction documents as well as constructionProduce construction ready design drawings coordinated with all disciplines to assure completeness and accuracyManage construction administration tasks such as shop drawing review, RFI responses, and coordination with the construction teamsNecessary Qualifications BS or MS in Civil/Structural Engineering8-10+ years of structural engineering building design experience, ideally in commercial constructionAbility to prepare structural designs for steel, concrete, masonry, light gage steel, and understanding of foundation designProficiency using Revit independently to create construction level structural drawings is preferredKnowledge of analysis and design programs such as RAM Structural System, SAP2000, RISA, or another recognized 3D design packages preferredProficiency using Microsoft Office SuiteProfessional Engineer (PE) licensure is requiredMAKE YOUR MOVE At OneFourTwo, we believe that every structure has a unique story to tell.
