Description The North America Amazon Private Brands Supply Chain team is seeking an experienced Sr. Strategic Supply Chain Manager to support our Hardlines Private Brands business. This role will own supply chain strategy and execution for HPB's import-heavy portfolio. You'll partner with global teams across Asia and Europe, as well as internal cross-functional partners, to drive best-in-class availability, speed, and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will serve as the supply chain subject matter expert for Hardlines, owning inventory health, auditing buying and forecasting models, and driving process improvements across a complex international supply chain while navigating challenges including tariff impacts, overstock management, and placement optimization. A key focus will be identifying and executing initiatives to remove cost from the supply chain and reduce cost-to-serve for both consumer and B2B customers. Key job responsibilities Own end-to-end supply chain performance for Hardlines Private Brands, including inventory health metrics (in-stock rates, operational inventory holdings, working capital efficiency) and Operations Cost-to-Serve targets for both B2C and B2B customers. Partner with Amazon Private Brands Sourcing Team and Origin Supply Chain team to drive operational excellence improvements with Asia-based vendors, optimizing production and delivery lead-times across international supply chains. Monitor and own KPIs including Out of Stock rate, Total Inbound Lead Time, Purchase Order confirmation rates, and operational excellence metrics, presenting insights and trends to Senior Leadership. Audit buying and forecasting models to ensure accuracy and alignment with business objectives. Collaborate with Business Managers and central APB teams (Product Business Intelligence, Business Intelligence Engineering, Supply Chain Tech) to leverage tools and insights for data-driven decision making. Identify and deliver improvement opportunities around demand planning, production planning, and inventory flow. Drive adoption of operational excellence best practices including EDI adoption, PO confirmations, efficient receive processes, and inventory placement. Champion cost optimization initiatives and process improvements that enhance operational efficiency and customer experience for both B2C and B2B channels. A day in the life You'll review performance dashboards to identify inventory health issues and availability risks across Hardlines Private Brands' portfolio. A significant portion of your day involves conducting meetings with key stakeholders including Sourcing teams, Business Management teams, and Origin Supply Chain teams to align on demand forecasts, address vendor performance challenges, and resolve production delays with Asia-based vendors. You'll conduct deep dives on KPI trends, analyzing root causes of out-of-stock situations or overstock concerns. You'll audit buying models, present insights to leadership, and drive process improvement initiatives. You'll leverage AI-powered tools to proactively monitor inventory risks and automate operational actions. About the team You'll join the NA APB Supply Chain team, supporting Hardlines Private Brands alongside colleagues supporting Consumables and Softlines businesses. Our team partners across all APB product families to deliver exceptional supply chain performance, balancing tactical execution with strategic initiatives. We work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment focused on delivering best-in-class availability and speed to customers. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
