Bachelor"s degree or equivalent practical experience.
8 years of experience in software development.
7 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google's needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. We need our engineers to be versatile, display leadership qualities and be enthusiastic to take on new problems across the full-stack as we continue to push technology forward.
With your technical expertise you will manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables. You will design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software solutions.
RCS Business Messaging (RBM) defines the future of conversational commerce. Powered by RCS-the world's second-largest messaging platform with over two billion users-RBM enables businesses to engage customers directly within native apps on Android and iOS. By leveraging interactive, rich media, companies can build immersive experiences that turn every conversation into an opportunity. RBM extends beyond traditional messaging with features like verified branding, real-time analytics, and two-way engagement. We provide the ecosystem for enterprises and SMBs to join the conversational commerce revolution.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $262000 - $365000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
Partner with Engineering and Product leadership to define and execute the technical goal and roadmap, balancing immediate business needs with long-term platform scalability and robustness.
Solve highly complex, ambiguous technical problems that span multiple systems and teams. Lead complex, cross-functional technical initiatives, driving architectural alignment across multiple organizations both inside and outside of Google.
Act as a key technical subject matter expert for RBM, effectively communicating complex technical strategies and decisions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including external partners.
Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and high-quality engineering within the RBM team and broader organization.
Provide extensive mentorship, guidance, and technical direction to other engineers, significantly elevating the technical capabilities of the team. Build and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with cross-functional partners and external stakeholders to ensure successful product delivery.
