A Senior/Staff Analog Design Engineer leads the development of high-performance analog/mixed-signal circuits from concept to production. This role involves the design planning, transistor-level design, simulation and verifying along with mentoring engineers and providing architectural direction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Circuit Implementation: Perform transistor-level design of complex circuits, ensuring adherence to specifications for speed, power, area, and robustness.
  • Architecture & Innovation: Define specifications and contribute to top-level architecture, ensuring high-performance analog solutions meet stringent area and power goals.
  • Verification & Validation: Lead simulation, verification and reviews including PVT (process, voltage, temperature) simulation to ensure manufacturing yield.
  • Layout Supervision: Oversee physical layout, providing direction on floorplanning to minimize parasitic effects.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Drive the technical direction of projects as lead designer. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (system, digital, test, validation) and mentor team members.
  • Post-Silicon Support: Support lab characterization, test, and production ramp-up.

Required Qualification & Skills:

  • Education & Experience: Typically a Master's or PhD in Electrical Engineering with 12+ years of industry experience (or equivalent) in CMOS analog design for automotive industry.
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of transistor-level circuit design, device physics and layout techniques.
  • Tool Proficiency: Extensive experience with Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, Hspice, or equivalent simulation tools.
  • System Knowledge: Understanding of mixed-signal integration and behavioral modeling (e.g., Matlab).

Preferred Skills:

  • Proven experience in leading technical projects and influencing design methodology.
  • Strong communication skills to present in peer reviews and customer engagements.
