This role involves managing confidential and time-sensitive matters, including the responsible handling of school funds, while collaborating closely with colleagues and maintaining professional interactions with students, faculty, staff, parents, and the broader community.Cash ReceiptsPrepare accurate bank deposits for the general ledgerInvestigate discrepancies between bank records and deposit slipsReconcile monthly cash receipts with the general ledgerSummarize weekly credit card transactionsAccounts ReceivableRecord tuition-related depositsReconcile tuition activity with the general ledgerPrepare year-end tuition reconciliationsAccounts PayableReview and approve invoice coding and other posting detailsAssist and backup for APCompile and review 1099s for accuracyPayroll Processing (in partnership with Human Resources)Collaborate with the Human Resources department to process payrollReview and validate employee timekeeping, compensation changes, and payroll adjustmentsEnsure proper documentation and authorization for all payroll transactionsSupport year-end payroll activitiesRespond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters in a timely and professional mannerReconcile and analyze accountsPrepare journal entries and maintain the general ledgerUpdate the chart of accounts in coordination with the Archdiocese and CFOEnsure accurate recording of financial transactionsPerform monthly reconciliations between development reports and the general ledgerCollaborate with the development database manager on gift accountingAnalyze and process quarterly development fund transactionsValidate endowment activity and prepare fund transfersPrepare and submit wire transfers with the ArchdioceseLead year-end audit preparationComplete monthly closing proceduresAssist in budget preparationSupport policy and procedure developmentAdditional ResponsibilitiesPrepare and file quarterly sales and use tax returnsComplete California 571L property tax filingsPerform special projects as assigned by the CFOQualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or FinanceThree to five years of accounting experience preferredExperience in nonprofit accounting preferredExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work in a self-directed mannerAbility to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong organizational and time management skillsAbility to build positive working relationships and collaborate effectivelyAll employees of the Archdiocese of San Francisco shall be employed without regard to race, color, sex, ethnicity or national origin and pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, will consider for employment qualified applicants with criminal history.#J-18808-Ljbffr
