This role is ideal for an accounting professional with strong general ledger experience , solid technical skills, and the ability to manage financial operations in a professional services environment.This position offers hands‑on responsibility, interaction with leadership and administrative teams, and the opportunity to contribute to a stable, well‑established organization.Key Responsibilities Prepare and review financial statements and timekeeper profitability analysisManage general ledger accounting , including journal entries, account reconciliations, and month‑end closeOversee accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes, ensuring accuracy and timelinessPerform bank and account reconciliationsSupport internal controls , audit readiness, and compliance initiativesConduct financial analysis , including annual budgeting and variance analysisOversee and assist with the billing process , including supporting documentationSupport government reporting and compliance requirementsUtilize Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central accounting softwareWork closely with administrative staff while managing multiple priorities and deadlinesQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting7+ years of experience in corporate accounting, public accounting, or professional servicesStrong understanding of debits & credits, general ledger accounting , and financial statement preparationProficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas)Experience with accounting or ERP systems preferredStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsAbility to work independently while collaborating effectively in a deadline‑driven environmentCompensation & Benefits Salary commensurate with experienceCompetitive benefits packageStable, professional law firm environment with long‑term career potentialWhy Join Brown & Fortunato?
