Performs highly skilled work and leads support for complex accounting and fiscal management of externally funded sponsored projects. Partners closely with stakeholders and system owners in performing financial analysis, and support financial reporting solutions.
Description of Duties

General direction from the assigned supervisor.

Direct supervision of all assigned staff.
Required Education
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or related field from an accredited university.

Required Experience
Four (4) years of governmental or fund accounting experience including, experience in sponsored programs accounting, and working knowledge of contract and grant administration procedures and regulations.

Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Office Environment; some travel and weekend work is required.

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of OMB Circulars A-21, A-110, A-133 Ability to manage the post award responsibilities of grant awards Ability to interact with the University community and peers, and to advocate program and University regulations, policies and procedures Ability to work independently, and make independent judgments and/or recommendations. This position requires the ability to develop and conduct training sessions in the assigned area. Proficiency in utilizing databases, Excel spreadsheets, and related software applications.
