Role description

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated patching frameworks for Oracle including RAC, Exadata, SQL Server, IBM Db2, MongoDB, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Cassandra.
• Develop end to end patching pipelines including Version discovery, Prechecks, post checks, Compliance validation, Reporting and dashboards.
• Build and maintain Automation Workflows using Rundeck, Ansible, Terraform, MFO, GitLab CICD or Azure DevOps.
• Develop reusable automation frameworks and templates for infrastructure operations.
• Create and maintain scripts using Python and other scripting languages (Shell, PowerShell).
• Integrate automation workflows with monitoring, scheduling and orchestration tools.
• Integrate patching automation with CMDB, service management and change control workflows (ServiceNow preferred).
• Collaborate with OS, Database and Security teams to ensure compliant and scalable automation.
• Troubleshoot automation failures and optimize existing automation processes.
• Document automation designs, workflows and operational procedures.

Mandatory Skills

• Automation Tools: Ansible playbooks, roles, inventories; Rundeck job orchestration scheduling; Terraform; GitLab CICD; MFO (Managed File Processing) relevant enterprise automation tool.
• Programming/Scripting: Python (strong hands-on experience), Shell scripting (Bash and/or PowerShell).
• Automation Expertise: Proven experience implementing patching automation solutions; Automation for large-scale enterprise environments.

Good to Have

• Strong knowledge of Operating Systems: Linux (RHEL, Oracle Linux, Ubuntu), Windows Server.
• Database Knowledge: Oracle, DB2, PostgreSQL or other enterprise databases; Understanding of database patching concepts.
• Experience with CICD pipelines or DevOps tools.
• Exposure to monitoring and logging tools.
• Knowledge of security and compliance requirements related to patching.

Skills

• Mandatory Skills: MongoDB, MS SQL Server, Oracle DBCS, Oracle Infrastructure Automation.

Benefits

Compensation range: $93,815.00 to $142,400.00 per year
