Job Description:
Senior Specialist, Network Engineer collaborates with the Systems and Cybersecurity Engineering team to design and model network architectures that meet customer requirements. Analyzes, plans, and adjusts network components and software, develops and assesses performance criteria, and supports capacity planning for switching, routing, transmission, and signaling. This role contributes to the innovative, high‑performing Space and Mission Systems (SMS) segment.
In this position, you'll deepen your network engineering expertise while making a broad impact across critical programs and projects.

Education:
Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience, or
Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience or
In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
Experience with HP/HPE, Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and F5
Experience with DISA SRGs/STIGs, patching, scanning, and remediation
Hands‑on IP network engineering experience
Active Top Secret with SCI required
Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT‑2 within 90 days
CCNA or equivalent within 90 days
Preferred Additional Skills:
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in California, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Washington, and the Greater D.C, Denver, or NYC areas is $100,500 - $185,000. The salary range for this role in Colorado state, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New York state, Cleveland Ohio, and Vermont is $87,000 - $161,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location. L3Harris also offers a variety of benefits, including health and disability insurance, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, EAP, education assistance, parental leave, paid time off, and company-paid holidays. The specific programs and options available to an employee may vary depending on date of hire, schedule type, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements
