Job Description:

L3Harris is currently hiring for the role of Senior Specialist, Contracts. This position is responsible for conducting proposal preparation, pre-contract data collection, and administering, extending, negotiating and terminating standard and nonstandard government contracts, with specific focus on Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) contracts with international customers.

Essential Functions:

Proposing, negotiating, and administering Direct Commercial Sales contracts for international defense programs and US Government and Foreign Military Sales
Preparing, negotiating, and administering a large volume of contracts of various types for a variety of customers.
Ensuring contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, customer specifications, FAR, DFAR and ITAR.
Reviewing RFPs; preparing proposals including engineering changes; performing associated negotiation and defining activities.
Performing risk assessment of proposal/contract terms and conditions; formulating and executing strategies to minimize potential risks to the business.
Working with customers, management, and program teams to resolve issues, secure approvals, and ensure successful contract execution.
Serving as point of contact for the customer during all phases of a program.
Generating and maintaining contract documentation.
Must have the ability to travel internationally <10%.
Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
6-10 years' experience in Contracts management and Direct Commercial Sales.
Must have the ability to travel internationally <10%.
Ability to gain secret clearance

Preferred Additional Skills:

MS Office Suite Proficiency
Strong communication skills
Must have experience effectively interfacing at all levels of company management.
Experience in problem solving through creative solutions drawing from prior experience is preferred.
Must have experience and be able to manage complex projects or processes.
Must have experience leading a team/project in gathering comprehensive data from multiple disciplines and lead a team to address complex issues and concerns. Problems typically require consideration from multiple areas or specialties.
