Senior Solutions Architect

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a technology consulting organization to identify a Senior Solutions Architect focused on software-defined data center environments. This role is remote and will support enterprise infrastructure modernization, automation, and cloud transformation initiatives.

This position is ideal for a highly technical infrastructure architect who enjoys hands-on implementation, client interaction, and leading complex enterprise projects. The right candidate is comfortable serving as both a technical lead and a trusted advisor while mentoring junior team members.

Required:

• Deep experience with VMware environments, including migrations, deployments, upgrades, and lifecycle management
• Strong hands-on expertise with software-defined data center and private cloud technologies
• Experience with infrastructure automation and IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or similar technologies
• Ability to lead enterprise-level implementation projects from design through deployment
• Strong client-facing communication skills with experience supporting technical delivery engagements

Preferred:

• Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), virtualization, networking, and storage technologies
• Scripting experience using PowerShell, PowerCLI, or related tools
• Experience with disaster recovery, backup resiliency, or hyperconverged infrastructure solutions
• Background supporting both pre-sales and post-sales technical consulting efforts
• Relevant infrastructure or virtualization certifications
