Everforth ECS is seeking a Senior Software Tester/QA Analyst to work remotely.

Everforth ECS is seeking a skilled Tester to support a rapidly growing Data Analytics and Business Intelligence platform. Our team supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO). This role supports a portfolio of high-visibility application modernization efforts focused on redesigning and enhancing enterprise procurement and acquisition systems using modern web technologies including Angular and React.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on, senior-level tester who can immediately integrate into Agile delivery teams and establish strong QA practices across the software development lifecycle. The successful candidate will lead testing strategy efforts, develop and maintain comprehensive test plans and test cases, collaborate closely with functional staff (BAs/PMs) and developers, and drive testing execution across functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, usability, and accessibility testing activities.

This role is critical to improving software quality, reducing production defects, and strengthening client confidence through thorough, repeatable, and well-documented testing processes. The candidate must be comfortable operating in a fast-paced federal consulting environment with significant stakeholder visibility and evolving modernization priorities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Read and understand requirements; lead and execute comprehensive testing activities across multiple DHS modernization projects
  • Design tests and build test data
  • Plan and coordinate test scenarios
  • Perform non-functional requirements testing like usability, performance, and scalability
  • Establish and document test procedures
  • Create project test documents such as a Requirements Traceability Matrix, Test Management Plans, and Test Summary Reports
  • Support User Acceptance Test (UAT) testing
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning/backlog refinement/standups/demos/retrospectives
  • Utilize Jira/Confluence and other materials to manage testing activities, document test results, and track defects
  • Support release validation and production verification activities
  • Coordinate defect management activities including defect documentation, prioritization, retesting, and validation of fixes
  • Identify testing gaps, risks, and quality concerns early in the development lifecycle and proactively recommend mitigation strategies
  • Maintain responsibility for completion and accuracy of work products
  • Promote QA best practices and contribute to establishing a culture of quality across the program

ECS Federal LLC

ECS was founded in 2001 by experienced IT professionals with a commitment to quality processes, people and performance. Led by our Chairman, Roy Kapani, and an experienced executive leadership team, ECS provides our customers with solutions and services that support their critical needs and further mission objectives. This commitment has paved the way for expansive growth, year over year.

ECS gained market share in 2011 in the Department of Defense and Federal spaces through both organic and acquisition growth. In May, ECS completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of OAK Management, Inc., a leading provider of marine environmental services, ship systems engineering, maritime consulting and platform acquisition management. The OAK acquisition kicked off ECS’ intention to add tactical acquisitions as a part of its long term strategy to supplement and expand upon organic growth and to build enterprise value. ECS closed out 2011 with the acquisition of Paradigm Technologies, Inc. The Paradigm transaction added approximately 200 employees to ECS’ existing 900+ employees. Paradigm also added new Defense clients for ECS, including the Missile Defense Agency, the Navy’s Program Executive Officer for Integrated Warfare Systems, the United States Marine Corps, and the U.S. Marshals Service.

In 2012, ECS completed the acquisition of iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. iLuMinA brings large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation and infrastructure design and development to ECS’ expanding capabilities.

ECS will continue to invest in corporate infrastructure and quality processes as we grow and enhance our ability to offer professional excellence to both our customers and our employees.
