    The Software Systems Engineer will use Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies to define, design, and maintain complex system architectures using Cameo Systems Modeler (MagicDraw) and decompose software requirements from systems and component requirements. This role bridges the gap between high-level system requirements and detailed software development, ensuring traceability and consistency across the lifecycle.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Experience in systems engineering, software engineering, or related field.

    • Proven expertise in Cameo Systems Modeler / Cameo Enterprise Architecture or equivalent.
    • Knowledge of SysML (System Modeling Language) and/or UML (Unified Modeling Language)
    • US Citizenship required. Final secret clearance needed to start.

    Desired Skills:

    • INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP).
    • Demonstrated ability to author clear, concise, and traceable software requirements-including functional, non‑functional, and interface specifications-that align with stakeholder needs and project goals. Experience with DOORS a plus.
    • Experience in Agile development, Configuration Management, DO-178C.
    • Experience in aerospace, defense, or complex electronics.
    • Clearance: Active secret security clearance
    • Experience DOD Software CDRL Development
    • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, synergetic team environment.
    • Demonstrated behaviors of a systems thinker with the ability to select and apply appropriate systems thinking skills to solve problems and implement constructive change.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers while building solid relationships with team members

    Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
